G-62 Sector-9. It’s a busy spot. Most people know the area because of the small tea shops on the corner. Our place, Kisan Mela, is right in the middle of it. Sometimes people think we’re hosting an actual festival because of the name, but it’s just the name we’ve always had. The floor is concrete and we have these old metal shelves that have seen better days. It gets quite dusty around here, especially when the wind picks up in the dry season, so someone is always sweeping. We don’t spend much on decorations or flashy signs. Usually, we just have a few calendars on the wall and a desk that’s been here since we opened. Customers come in and out, mostly local folks who know exactly what they need. We talk about the weather or the price of things while we work. It’s a simple routine. We open the shutters early, get the lights on, and wait for the first delivery. There’s a certain rhythm to the day that feels right. The chairs in the back are a bit creaky, but they are comfortable enough for a quick break. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have known each other for years. It’s not a complicated operation, just a place where we show up every morning and do what needs to be done.
