Hotwasi Government School

You wouldn’t always expect to find a school inside a place like Jop Plaza, but that’s where we are on the first floor. Hotwasi Government School has its home right here in the middle of Sector 18. It’s a busy part of Noida, so there is always something happening outside the windows. We deal with a lot of paperwork and the usual challenges of running a government school. The space isn't huge, but we make it work for the students who come in every day. Sometimes the elevator in the plaza is slow, so most of us just take the stairs up. We have rows of benches and blackboards that have seen better days. The lighting is okay, but we try to keep the windows clear to get some sun in. It gets a bit crowded during the mid-day meal time. We don't have fancy decorations on the walls, just some charts and student work pinned up here and there. Working in Sector 18 means we are close to everything, but we stay focused on the books inside our rooms. The staff sits in a small office area cluttered with registers and old files. It’s a practical setup for the kids who live around this part of the city. We don't have a big playground, so we have to be creative with how the children move around. It's just a regular school doing the daily work without any of the extra frills you see elsewhere.
