Our place, Home Concept Crafts Pvt. Ltd., is tucked away at C-44 in Phase II. It’s an area filled with a lot of similar looking buildings, so sometimes people get lost trying to find our gate. We have a decent sized workspace where we put together various craft items. It’s a lot of manual labor, really. One day we are packing boxes, and the next we are sorting through raw materials that just arrived on a tempo. The office part is just a small partitioned room with a couple of old computers and a fan that squeaks when it’s on high speed. We don't really have a big showroom or anything like that because we mostly focus on getting the orders out to the people who sell them in the bigger markets. The staff here has been with us for a long time, so we all just know our jobs without having to talk much. Lunchtime is usually spent sitting on the crates outside if the weather isn't too hot. We deal with a lot of wood and fabric, so there is always a bit of a mess on the tables. It is just a regular small business trying to keep up with the daily chores. We don't spend money on fancy signs or decorations. C-44 is just a practical space where we can get the work done without too many distractions from the outside world.
