Green Land Hr Sec School

Main Road in Sector 22 is always full of traffic, so Green Land Hr Sec School is never really quiet. We are at B-12 and you can’t miss the building when you’re driving through Noida. The 201301 zip code area is growing so fast, but our school stays pretty much the same. We have students coming in from all the nearby blocks. In the mornings, the sun hits the front of the building and it gets quite bright in the upstairs rooms. We spend a lot of time making sure the kids stay away from the main road gate during the breaks. The staff room is usually a mess of papers and half-eaten lunches because we stay so busy. We don't have any big fancy signs, just the name on the wall. The desks are the old wooden kind that have seen a lot of use. Every afternoon when the school finishes, the whole street gets blocked with rickshaws and cycles. It’s a bit of a headache for the neighbors but that’s just how it is. We’ve got a small water cooler that everyone crowds around during the summer months. It’s a practical place, nothing too special to look at from the outside, but we are here every day from eight till three. The noise of the main road is just something we’ve learned to talk over during classes.
