Gharwal Paneer Bhandar

Gharwal Paneer Bhandar is located at number 102 in Old Rajinder Nagar. It is a small place where we mostly focus on dairy. Every morning the fresh milk arrives and we start making the paneer right away. The smell of boiling milk is something we are very used to now. The shop stays quite damp because of all the water we use to keep things clean and cool. We have big metal containers and some refrigerators that hum all day long. People from the nearby apartments come in early to get their supply before it runs out. We don't have a big menu or anything. It is mostly just paneer, curd, and some other basics. The counter is usually a bit wet from the ice. Old Rajinder Nagar is a busy residential spot so there is always someone walking by. We spend a lot of time cutting blocks of paneer into smaller pieces and weighing them on the scale. It is a simple routine that hasn't changed in a long time. Sometimes we run out of stock by the afternoon if the demand is high. We don't use any fancy packaging, just plain bags. It’s a very local kind of business. We know most of the people who come in by their names. It is just a regular life here at shop 102, keeping the fridge full.
