Fashion Footwear Limited is right here in Z Block, Sector 12. We are very close to the Gurudwara, so it is a landmark everyone knows. You can usually hear the sounds from there while we are working. We sell shoes of all kinds, mostly stuff for everyday life. People stop by after they visit the Gurudwara or when they are just out for a walk in the block. We have boxes stacked up all over the place because we try to keep a lot of sizes in stock. Sometimes it's hard to find a specific pair quickly, but we usually know where everything is. The shop isn't very large so we have to use the wall space for displays. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons but the fan keeps things moving. We have been here for a while now and we see the same faces quite often. Buying shoes is a personal thing, people like to try them on and walk around the shop floor to see if they pinch. We just let them take their time. It’s a straightforward business, really. We buy shoes and we sell them to people who need them. There’s no big secret to it. Sector 12 is a nice area and being near the Gurudwara makes us feel like part of the community here. We open early and stay until the evening most days of the week.
