Deepak Kashyap Chat Bhandar

Deepak Kashyap Chat Bhandar is our small shop tucked away in Sanjay Puri 1 in Modi Nagar. It’s not a place you would find in a big fancy mall, but we like it here. We spend most of our time prepping the ingredients, chopping up stuff and getting the spices just right. The street outside in Sanjay Puri 1 can get pretty crowded, especially in the evenings when everyone is out looking for something to eat. We have our regulars who come by almost every day, and we usually know exactly how they like their chat made. Sometimes we run out of things earlier than we thought, and we have to scurry around to get more. The shop has been here in Modi Nagar for a while now, and we’ve seen a lot of changes in the neighborhood, but we just stay focused on what we are doing at the counter. It gets hot back there with all the cooking going on, but you get used to it after a few years. We don’t have much in the way of decoration, just a few benches for people to sit if they don't want to stand on the sidewalk. It’s a simple life running a chat bhandar, but it keeps us busy from morning until late at night when we finally close the doors. We hope the food is good enough that people keep coming back.
