Concept Graphics

Concept Graphics is over at D 36 in Sector 49. It’s a pretty quiet residential area compared to the main markets. We have a small setup where we do various design tasks and printing. There is always a smell of fresh ink or the hum of the computers running. We spend a lot of time looking at colors and trying to make sure things look okay on paper. Sometimes a file won't open, or the printer decides to leave a streak down the middle of a page, and we have to start all over again. It’s part of the job. We don't have a big sales team or anyone to answer phones professionally. If you call, you just get whoever is closest to the desk. Our walls are covered in samples of stuff we’ve done before, some of it looks good and some of it is just okay. We try to be honest with people about what we can do in the time we have. It’s not a huge studio, just a couple of rooms with some light boxes and cutting mats. Sometimes we stay late when a project is due the next morning. Sector 49 is a decent place to be, and we have regular people who just drop in for small jobs. We don't make a big deal out of things. We just do the work and hope the machines don't break down. It’s just us trying to make things look right on a budget for folks who live nearby. We usually close on Sundays.
