We are over at D-67 in Sector-7. It’s an industrial area, so there are plenty of trucks and vans moving around all day. Our place is basically a big warehouse with some office space partitioned off at the front. We deal with cleaning machines and industrial equipment, so there’s always something being tested or repaired in the back. It can get quite loud with the sound of motors and water pressure tests going on. The floors are concrete and usually have a few scuff marks from moving the heavy machinery around. We don't have any fancy art on the walls or a sleek lobby. It’s a place for work. Most of us wear work shirts that end up getting a bit dirty by the end of the shift. We spend our time talking to clients about their floor scrubbers or vacuum systems and figuring out which parts need replacing. It’s practical stuff. The dust from the road outside usually finds its way in, so we are often cleaning a place that sells cleaning tools. There’s a small dhaba nearby where we get our lunch delivered in tiffin boxes. We’ve been in this sector for a few years now and know most of the guys in the neighboring units. It’s a no-nonsense environment. If a machine isn't working, we pull it apart and fix it. That’s pretty much the whole story of what happens here from Monday to Saturday. We keep a few spare parts on the shelves and just try to stay organized.
