Life at B 118 in Phase-2 is a bit more quiet than some of the other industrial blocks nearby. Aes Laboratories Pvt Ltd is where we spend our days, surrounded by a lot of glass tubes and testing equipment. It isn't like the movies where everything is glowing; it is mostly just a lot of careful measuring and waiting for results. We have to keep things pretty clean, so there’s always a bit of a bleach smell in the air. People think lab work is exciting, but a lot of it is just making sure the numbers are written down correctly in the logs. We take turns making the coffee in the little breakroom because the machine is a bit finicky and only certain people know how to make it work. Phase-2 is a big area, but after a while, you get to know the people at the gate and the folks who deliver the mail. B 118 has been our base for a good while now. We don't really have a big public front because most of what we do happens behind the closed doors of the testing rooms. It’s a serious environment because you can't afford to be sloppy with the details. We just show up, put on our coats, and get to the tasks on the clipboard. It’s a steady rhythm that suits us just fine.
