Arun K Sharma Photography is located at Hindan Vihar, specifically Gali No-17, Plot No-18 in Sec-49. It’s a bit of a maze getting here if you don’t know the turns, but once you find Gali No-17, we’re right there. The studio is a modest space where we keep all the cameras and tripods. There’s a lot of gear scattered around because we’re usually in the middle of a project. Plot No-18 has been the home for this work for a few years now. The walls are lined with some old frames and background cloths. We spend a lot of time adjusting the lights and trying to get the settings just right. Sector-49 is a growing area, so there’s always some construction noise in the background. It’s a one-man show mostly, with some help when things get really busy. The desk is covered in memory cards and hard drives because there’s always something to edit. We don’t have a fancy waiting room, just a couple of stools and a small table for tea. Hindan Vihar has its own charm, even if the streets are narrow. On most days, you’ll find me here from early morning until the sun goes down, looking through a lens or sitting at the computer. It’s a quiet life centered around capturing moments. The electricity goes out sometimes, so we have a backup battery to keep the computers running until the power comes back on.
