About Alam Traders – Housewares & Supplies in Noida
Being located near the Shiv Mandir here in Bishunpura means we hear the temple bells every single morning and evening. It’s a nice way to keep track of the day while we are busy with the trading work. Our shop is just a plain building, nothing like the big stores you see in the city. We have stacks of items piled up, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what someone is looking for. The road outside can get very dusty, especially when the wind picks up, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the counters. We aren't big on fancy talk or complicated systems. We just write things down in our ledgers and talk to the farmers and locals who come by. Bishunpura is a quiet place for the most part, and everyone knows everyone else’s business. We’ve been at this for years, and our regulars just walk in without much ceremony. Sometimes we sit outside on plastic chairs when the weather is decent, just watching the cows or the tractors go past. It’s a simple way to make a living, and we don't ask for much more than a steady day of work. If the temple is having a festival, the whole street gets crowded, and we usually end up handing out water to people passing by. It is just the way things are done around here, nothing more and nothing less. We just keep the door open for whoever needs us.
