Panduranga Flour Mill

At house number 10-1 in Bhagayanagar, Khanapur, you will find our flour mill. We have been grinding grain for the local people in Nizamabad for quite some time now. It’s a noisy place when the machines are running, and there is always a bit of flour dust in the air. We don't have a big factory or anything like that. It’s just a small shop where people bring their sacks of wheat or chillies to get them ground up. My hands are usually covered in white powder by the end of the day. We see a lot of people from the nearby houses coming in with their containers. We don't have a fancy waiting area, just a couple of wooden benches where people sit and talk while they wait for their turn. The machines need a lot of oiling and care to keep them from breaking down. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting heavy bags and making sure the grind is just right. Some people want it very fine, and others want it a bit coarse. We listen to what they need and do it right there. Khanapur is a good place to be, and being in Bhagayanagar means we are close to our neighbors. We don't spend money on ads. People just know we are here at house 10-1. It’s a simple life, and we are happy to keep the mill running every day.
