Our office is in Bodhan, over in the Thattikota area. The address is 3/1/303, and it is a place where we handle a lot of seed bags throughout the day. Working with seeds means we are always thinking about the seasons and the rain. When the planting season is coming up, things get very hectic around here. We have farmers coming in at all hours to ask about the different hybrids and what will grow best in their soil. The warehouse part of the building is usually full of stacked sacks, and the smell of dried seeds is everywhere. It is a dusty job, especially when we are moving the stock around. We have a small desk where we keep the records, but mostly we are on our feet. Bodhan is a small enough place that we know many of the people who walk through the door. We do not have any fancy displays. The focus is on the bags and making sure the counts are right. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to work by the light from the door. It is just how things are here. We are not trying to be the biggest company; we just want to make sure the seeds are ready when the farmers need them. We spend a lot of time talking about the weather because it matters so much to everyone who shops here. It is a simple, hardworking life.
