Boda Sailu

Down here in Velugunur, things move at a different pace. My place is H No 2-96, right in the heart of the village. Being near Nizamasagar means we see a lot of different weather, and it definitely affects the day-to-day. My name is Boda Sailu and this is just where I live and do my work. I don't have a corporate office or anything like that. It’s just me and whatever needs doing at the time. Sometimes it feels like I know every single person walking down the lane. We talk about the rain or the crops or just whatever is happening. I’ve lived here a long time, so I’ve seen Velugunur change quite a bit, though it still feels like home. My work isn't anything fancy. I just try to be useful to the people around me. Some days are long, especially when there’s a lot of manual stuff to handle. I usually sit out front in the evenings when it cools down. It’s a good time to think about what needs to be done tomorrow. I don’t have any big plans to move or change things. I like where I am. The house at 2-96 has been in the family for a bit, and it’s where I feel most comfortable. It’s just a simple life and that suits me fine. No need for anything more than that, just keeping the rhythm of the village and my own tasks.
