You can find Ashwin Jain & Stone Company right on Neemuch Road. We are situated very close to the railway crossing, so you’ll probably hear the trains going by while you’re here. It’s a busy road and we’ve been part of this neighborhood for years. We deal mostly in different kinds of natural stones. The yard is usually covered in dust because that’s just part of the stone business. We don’t have a flashy showroom with air conditioning. It’s just us, the stones, and the tools we use every day. Most of our customers are locals or builders who know us from word of mouth. We spend a lot of time moving heavy slabs around to show the patterns. Every piece of stone is a bit different, so it takes time to pick the right one. I usually handle the orders myself while the guys help with the loading. We stay open pretty late most days because people often stop by after they finish their own jobs. It's not a complicated setup here. We just have the stone ready and we tell you what it costs. If you’re driving past the tracks, you’ll see our sign and all the blocks lined up. It’s a lot of lifting and sweat but we’re used to it. We take pride in just being a local shop that does its job.
