Tinsukia Madhupur L P School

This is a small primary school located at 11/2 in Nilambur. It is right in the heart of Malappuram. We have been teaching young children here for quite some time now. The building is simple and you can see it from the street. Every morning, the parents bring their kids to the gate. It is a very lively place with a lot of noise and energy from the students. We have just a few classrooms and they are filled with small desks and chairs. There is a lot of drawings and charts on the walls that the kids have made. We don’t have a huge budget for fancy decorations, so we just use what we have. The playground is just a patch of ground where they play during their breaks. In Nilambur, it rains a lot, so we often have to keep the children inside the corridors when the weather is bad. The teachers are very patient and they work hard to keep everything in order. It is a basic school, but it serves the families living in this neighborhood well. We handle all the administration from a small desk in the corner of one of the rooms. There is no big office or anything like that. We just focus on the daily lessons and making sure the kids are safe. It is a familiar part of the local community and we like it that way.
