Sagar Engineering Works

You can find us in Friend Colony, right down Gali number one in the Jhilmil Industrial Area. Shahdara is a place where people know how to work with their hands, and our shop is part of that tradition. We handle all sorts of engineering tasks, from basic repairs to making specific metal parts that people can’t find anywhere else. The workshop is a bit cluttered with tools and scraps of metal, but we know where every wrench and bolt is kept. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, and the building has seen better days, but the machines inside still work just fine. A lot of our day is spent at the lathe or welding pieces together. It is dirty work and our clothes are usually covered in oil by the end of the shift. We get people coming in from all over the G.T. Road area because they know we don't mind taking on the small, difficult jobs that the bigger shops won't touch. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room; you just walk in and talk to whoever is free. It’s a simple way of doing business, but it works for us. We just focus on the task in front of us and try to make sure the parts we fix stay fixed for as long as possible. It’s hard work and the summer heat makes it tough, but we like what we do and we keep going.
