We work out of No. 8/ 8 Nakul Lane in the Vishawash Nagar area of Shahdara. It's a small place, really just a few rooms filled with stacks of papers and law books. We aren't a big firm with fancy suits; it's mostly just us sitting at desks dealing with whatever court papers or contracts need to be looked at that day. The lane outside is usually quite noisy because it’s a busy part of the city. You can hear the rickshaws and people talking all day long. We have a lot of filing cabinets that are overflowing and we probably need to get more, but we just keep squeezing stuff in. Most of our work is just reading through long documents and making sure all the signatures are in the right spots. We drink way too much tea to stay awake during the afternoons. There is a small printer that gets a lot of use and sometimes breaks down when we are in a hurry. People from the neighborhood stop by when they have a problem with some paperwork. We don’t have a website or anything like that. We just show up every morning, open the shutters, and get started on the files. It’s just how we’ve always done it here in Shahdara. The lighting isn't great but it's enough to read by. We've been in this same spot for years and the locals know where to find us if they need help with a legal letter.
