Amarchand Mangaldas Suresh A Shroff Consciousness

We’re over at Block No. 216 in Amarchand Towers. It’s situated in the Okhla Industrial Estate, Phase III. The name on the door is Amarchand Mangaldas Suresh A Shroff Consciousness. It’s a bit of a mouthful, we know. Most of us just think of it as our daily workplace. It’s a professional environment, but we try not to be too stiff about it. We’ve got a lot of desks and computers. People are usually busy with their tasks. The industrial estate is always humming with activity. There’s a lot of traffic coming and going. We’ve been in this building for quite some time now. The elevators can be slow during lunch, so we often take the stairs. It’s a good way to stay active. We don’t have any big mission statements on the walls. We just focus on the work that needs to be done. Everyone has their own role. Some days are stressful with deadlines, but we manage to get through them. We share coffee in the breakroom and talk about our families or the latest news. It’s a regular office life. We aren't trying to sound like some big corporate machine. We’re just a group of people working together in Okhla. The view from the windows is mostly other buildings and trucks, but it feels like home to us after all these years. We just keep at it.
