Sanjeev Dyeing Works Private Limited

This is the dyeing workshop on Circular Road. If you walk past 1004/9, you’ll probably smell the stuff we use. Dyeing is a messy business. Your hands always end up stained no matter how careful you are. We’ve been doing this for a long time. My uncle started it and then we just kept it going. The vats are old but they still heat up okay. We do all sorts of colors. Sometimes the mix isn't perfect the first time, so we have to do it again. It’s a lot of waiting for things to dry. The floor is almost always wet. We wear rubber boots all day. It’s not a glamorous job. We just provide the dyeing services for the local trade. Most of our customers are just people from around the city who have known us for years. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just pick up the phone when it rings. Usually, it’s someone asking when their stuff will be ready. We tell them to give us another day or two. It’s a busy place and the steam makes it hot in the summer. We just open the doors and keep moving. It’s a honest day's work and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. Just a bunch of guys working with tubs of color and cloth every single day. We don't have fancy titles or big offices. We just do the dyeing and hope the colors come out right for the next batch.
