S K Tutors Bureau is situated on the second floor of the shopping centre in Mansarover Garden. The exact unit is F 10. It’s a decent enough spot in Delhi 110015, and being in a shopping centre means there are always people around. We aren't a school ourselves; we are a bureau, which means we spend most of our day matching up students with the right teachers who can go to their homes. The office is basically just a few desks, some chairs for parents to sit on, and a lot of notebooks where we keep track of our tutors. I’ve been working here for quite some time, and my desk is usually buried under a pile of registration forms and phone messages. It’s a lot of work talking to different parents and hearing what they need for their children. Some want help with English, others with physics. We don't have any flashy posters or big logos on the walls. It’s just a practical office where we get things done. Most of the people who come to see us are from the local neighborhood or nearby areas like Kirti Nagar. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background while we work. It’s a bit of an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for the people around here. We just try to find a teacher who actually fits the student's needs and lives reasonably close by.
