Ravi Kirana Store

Ravi Kirana Store is sitting at Shop No 34 in the Shree Ram Sarsvati Vidyalya Building. We’re right on Delhi Road, very close to the Ram Lila Ground. It’s a great spot because there’s always something happening at the grounds, and the school building brings a lot of foot traffic. We sell all the basic groceries and household items people need for their kitchens. The shop is a bit small, so we have to stack things high on the shelves to fit it all in. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when three or four people are inside at the same time, but it works. We’ve been here long enough that we know what most of our neighbors want before they even ask for it. It’s a simple life running a kirana store. We deal with suppliers, stock the shelves, and talk to the locals. Some days are slow, and we just sit and watch the traffic on Delhi Road. Other days, like during festivals at the Ram Lila Ground, it gets incredibly busy and we barely have time to breathe. We don't have a computer system or anything; we just use a notebook to keep track of things. It’s just an honest little shop serving the local community here. We close up around nine every night after the last few customers head home to their families.
