Sudeep Impex

Our place is at D-24 and it’s where Sudeep Impex does all its business. It’s a fairly small operation and we like to keep it that way so we can see what is happening with every order. We don’t have a lot of fancy equipment just the basics like a few computers and a very busy packing table. Importing and exporting sounds like a big fancy job but mostly it is just checking lists and making sure the crates are sturdy enough for the journey. We spend a lot of time talking to the customs brokers and the shipping agents and sometimes they can be quite difficult to deal with. The office is just a regular room with some old chairs and a lot of empty boxes in the corner. We try to stay organized but when three shipments arrive at the same time it gets a bit chaotic for a day or two. D-24 isn't a huge landmark but people who need to find us usually do. We have a kettle for tea and a small window that looks out onto the street. It’s a quiet enough life most of the time except when we are racing against a deadline to get a container to the station. We don't really have any big plans to expand or anything we just want to keep doing what we do and do it properly. It’s just how we run things here.
