If you are looking for us, you have to head into the D.S.I.D.C. Complex in Okhla Phase 1. We are up on the third floor, at number 227. It is quite a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens more often than we would like. The whole area is pretty industrial, and you will see the FedEx warehouse close by, which helps people find the turn. Inside our space, it is mostly about the work. We have desks, some computers, and a lot of samples lying around. There are usually stacks of shoe components or finished boxes waiting to be moved out. It is not exactly quiet here because of the machines and the general hum of the industrial estate. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at spreadsheets to keep things moving. The light coming through the windows is okay, but it gets pretty hot in the afternoons. Sometimes the tea man comes around and that is usually the highlight of the day for everyone here. We are just a regular team trying to keep up with orders and making sure the logistics don't get too messy. Being on the third floor means we see a lot of the rooftops in Okhla. It is a busy, grey kind of place but it is where everything happens for us. We just focus on the daily tasks and getting the footwear ready for wherever it needs to go next.
