The Design Essentia

We’ve been set up here at C-786 New Friends Colony for a while now. Most days it’s just us working through different projects and trying to get things right. People around the neighborhood might have seen the sign outside when they walk by. It isn't a huge operation, just a small team of us handling the daily stuff that comes our way. We spend a lot of time at our desks or talking to people who drop by the office to ask questions. It gets busy sometimes, especially when several things happen at once, but we manage to keep our heads above water. The office isn't anything fancy, just a regular workspace with enough room for our gear and some coffee in the corner. We started this because we wanted to work for ourselves and stay close to this part of town. Sometimes the traffic on the main road makes it a bit loud, but inside it's usually quiet enough to think. We don't have a big corporate manual or anything like that. We just show up, do the work that needs doing, and head home when it's finished. It’s a pretty simple way to run things. If someone calls, one of us picks up the phone directly. There isn't a fancy switchboard or a long wait. Most of our neighbors know us by now. We’ve had the same chairs and desks since we moved in. It works for us. We try to keep things straightforward and avoid making stuff more complicated.
