Our office is on the first floor of the DDA Market in B Block, Yojna Vihar. It’s a pretty standard setup. We deal with pests, which isn't the most glamorous job in New Delhi, but it’s necessary. People call us when they find termites in their wooden cupboards or cockroaches in the kitchen. We spend a lot of time traveling to different houses and buildings. The chemicals we use have to be handled carefully, so we keep everything organized in the back. It’s a family-run kind of thing, Verma being the name on the door. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in India; we just want to make sure the houses we visit don't have bugs anymore. The DDA market is usually busy, so finding parking for our vans can be a struggle in the mornings. We do both residential spots and some office spaces. Sometimes we get calls for bed bugs, which are a real pain to get rid of, but we have the equipment for it. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just come in, spray what needs spraying, and leave you with some instructions on what to do next. It’s honest work. Most of our staff have been doing this for a long time, so they know where the pests like to hide in these old Delhi buildings.
