Moderna Crafts & Group

Moderna Crafts & Group is found on the third floor of L-3 Mahipal Pur Road Number 2. Being on the third floor means we get a bit of a climb every morning, but it keeps us moving. The stairs are narrow, so we have to be careful when we are carrying supplies up. Mahipal Pur is always packed with activity, especially with all the hotels and businesses nearby. Our space on Road Number 2 is where the actual work happens. We have several workbenches set up and the floor is usually covered in scraps or materials from whatever project is currently underway. It is not a showroom; it is a workshop. We have a few windows that look out over the street, though they are usually a bit dusty. The sun comes in quite strong in the morning. We have a small corner for making tea and taking a few minutes off. It is a simple group of people here. We do not have a fancy reception desk or anyone to answer phones in a professional voice. If the phone rings, whoever is closest picks it up. We focus on the crafts and the groups of tasks we have for the day. It is a bit noisy with the traffic from the main road, but we are used to it by now. It’s just how things are at L-3.
