Mmtc Ltd. sits right in the middle of the Scope Complex at Lodhi Road. We are in Core-1. If you've ever been to this area, you know it's full of government offices and big institutions. It’s a huge place and honestly, you can get lost in the hallways if you aren’t careful. We handle a massive amount of trade, things like minerals, metals, and even some agro products. Being here feels very official. There are security guards at the gates and a lot of paperwork to sign every time you move something. My desk is tucked away in a corner where I can see the trees outside sometimes. It’s a lot of routine. We follow the rules strictly because that’s how things are done here. People think it’s all very grand, but mostly it’s just people sitting at computers and talking on phones. We deal with international trade, so we are often looking at global prices and currency shifts. It can be a lot of pressure when the markets are jumping around. Despite the scale of the company, we still have our small groups of colleagues who look out for each other. We get our tea from the canteen and complain about the slow elevators. It's a job like any other, just on a much bigger scale with more files than you can imagine. We just try to get through the day's tasks without any major hiccups.
