Vaimer Footwear India Pvt. Ltd. is based over in Madipur Village at Wz-193-a. If you have been to the village, you know the streets are narrow and there is always a lot of activity. We have our little setup here where we deal with all the shoe orders. It is nothing like the big, glass-walled offices you see in the city. This is a real neighborhood where you can hear kids playing and neighbors talking outside the door. Inside our space, you will usually find samples of boots or sandals scattered on the tables. We spend a lot of our time on the phones or checking what we have left in the storage area. The walls are just a plain white, and we keep a couple of fans running when it gets too hot. It’s a simple place, but it works for what we need to do every day. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a bit of trouble making the tight turns to reach us, but they always manage in the end. We’ve been here long enough that we feel like part of the furniture in the village. The local people see us coming and going every morning. We don't have a marketing department or anything fancy. It’s just a small group of us making sure the footwear gets sent out to the right places. The work is steady and we like being in a spot that feels like a real community.
