Ajay Screen Printers

Ajay Screen Printers is located at No. 6154, Gali Batashan, right in the Kucha Shiv Mandir area of Khari Baoli. If you know this part of the city, you know how crowded and narrow the lanes can get every single day. We’ve been working out of this spot for a very long time now. It is a bit of a maze to find us if you aren't familiar with the Gali, but we like being in the middle of the market. Our space is filled with screens, inks, and wooden frames. It usually smells a bit like chemicals and paint, which is just part of the job we do. We spend most of our hours hunched over the printing tables getting the designs right. It isn't a clean, modern office; it’s a working print shop with some stains on the floor and stacks of paper everywhere. We take orders from the local traders around Khari Baoli and try to get them finished as fast as the manual process allows us to. There’s no big automated machinery here, just us doing the work by hand. The heat in the summer can be tough in these old buildings, but we keep the fans going and keep moving through the pile of orders. People know us by word of mouth mostly. We don't have a website. We just open the shutters in the morning and start on the day's work until it’s finished.
