Kapoor Coaching Academy

Down in the basement of C 147 in Lajpat Nagar 2, you will find Kapoor Coaching Academy. It is a quiet spot below the street level, which actually helps keep the noise of the market away while everyone is trying to study. Lajpat Nagar is always so packed with people shopping, but once you step down into our space, it feels a lot different. We have been working out of this basement for quite some time now. It’s got that typical Delhi basement feel, cool in the summers but you definitely need the lights on all the time. We have desks lined up and whiteboards that are always covered in scribbles from the last lesson. Students come from all over the local area after their regular school hours. Usually, it's a bit of a rush around 4 PM. We don't have a big reception or anything like that. You just walk in and find a seat. It is mostly just about getting the syllabus finished and making sure the kids understand what they are reading. Sometimes the parents drop by to ask how things are going, and we just talk to them right there at the desk. There’s always a bit of dust because of the construction nearby, but we try to keep the place tidy enough. It’s a practical place for learning without any of that extra flash. We just keep our heads down and focus on the work that needs doing.
