We are located here in Vasant Kunj, specifically at Flat 4013. Being near the Mother Dairy bus stand means there is always someone walking past the window. It is a small place and a bit unusual since it is in a flat. We started this because we lived nearby and saw people needed a spot for their daily needs. The shelves are mostly full of things like toothpaste, pulses, and some snacks for the kids. It can get a bit crowded when more than three people come in at once to buy things. The light is not the best in the back corner but we manage with a desk lamp. You can hear the buses pulling up outside and the drivers shouting all day long. Sometimes the drivers come in for a quick soda or some biscuits. We do not have a giant sign or anything like that. Most people just know us by word of mouth. My daughter helps with the inventory on weekends when she is not at school. We try to stock what the local families ask for. If someone wants a specific brand of tea, we write it down in our book. It is not a corporate chain, so things are a bit more relaxed here. Sometimes the stock takes a few extra days to arrive because of the traffic near the stand. We just keep going. The floor is tile and easy to clean, which is good.
