Laxmi Pharma

Laxmi Pharma is located in the basement at A- 95 Jawahar Park. Being in a basement means it stays a bit cooler, which is actually nice during the summer. We have shelves lining the walls, all packed with different medicines and supplies. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we get a big delivery in. We have to be careful about how everything is stacked so we can actually find what we need. The lighting is all fluorescent, and it feels a bit like a warehouse in here. We spend a lot of time checking expiry dates and making sure the inventory is right. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but you can’t really afford to make mistakes with medicine. We aren't a big hospital pharmacy; we’re just a local spot handling distribution. People come in with their orders, and we pull the items from the shelves. Sometimes the delivery guys are late because of the traffic in Jawahar Park, which can be frustrating. We just drink our tea and wait it out. There’s always a lot of clicking from the computer as we update the stock levels. It’s not a fancy setup. There’s a desk for the paperwork and some chairs that have seen better days. We just focus on getting the right boxes to the right people. It’s a plain, honest business and we’ve been doing it this way for years.
