You can find us over at 1186/13 in Govindpuri, right in the Kalka Ji area. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze around here with all the shops and people moving about. We’ve been operating from this spot for a good while. The shop isn’t huge, so we have to stack things pretty high to make everything fit. It’s mostly just us and a couple of helpers moving stock around. The morning starts with pulling up the shutters and sweeping the front. People from the neighborhood drop by all day. Some just want to ask a question or see if we have something specific in stock. It gets quite hot in the summer because the fan just moves the warm air around, but we are used to it by now. Govindpuri is a busy place and there’s always noise from the street outside. We keep a ledger for everything, though sometimes we fall behind on the entries when it gets crowded. It’s a simple setup. We don't have any big corporate ideas, just selling what people need and keeping the place running. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time backing into the lane, so we end up carrying a lot of stuff by hand. It keeps us moving. The tea man comes by twice a day, which is the only break we really take. By the time we close up, we're usually pretty tired, but then we do it all again tomorrow.
