Idol Impex Pvt. Ltd. is down in the lower ground floor at 115 in the World Trade Centre on Babar Road. Being in the L.G.F. means we don't get much sunlight, but it keeps the place cooler during the summer months. The World Trade Centre is a huge building, so we’re just one small part of it. We handle import and export tasks throughout the week. Babar Road is a central location, which makes it easier for people to find us once they get into the building. The office is packed with files and some old office equipment. It’s not a fancy showroom. We mostly deal with the logistics and the back-end side of trading. Sometimes the elevators in the building are slow, so we take the stairs if we’re in a hurry. We have a few desks squeezed into the space, and there’s always someone typing away or talking to a vendor. It’s a busy atmosphere even if it feels a bit cramped. We handle different products depending on the season and the demand. We’ve been working from this spot for a good while. You get to know the other people in the building after a while. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or expensive furniture. We just focus on making sure the shipments are handled correctly and the customers get their documents on time. It’s just how we operate every day down here.
