We are located over in Okhla Vihar, right in Jamia Nagar, which is a place that never really seems to sleep. Hom Automation Pvt Ltd sits on the second floor of C-II. Finding the place can be a little tricky if you aren't from around here because the lanes get narrow and busy. There’s always someone selling something on the street or a rickshaw trying to squeeze past. Once you get up to the second floor, though, it’s our own little world of electronics and wires. We do a lot of work with home systems, so the office is often cluttered with sensors and control panels. It’s not the neatest place, but we know where everything is. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy with the technical stuff to worry about that. Lunch is usually something local from one of the shops nearby—the food around Jamia Nagar is one of the best parts of working here. We have some long-time staff who have been here since the start. We just like solving the little problems that come with making a house smarter. It’s not about being fancy; it’s about making things work when they’re supposed to. The power cuts used to bother us, but we’ve got our own backup now, so we just keep grinding away regardless. It’s noisy outside but we just focus on the circuit boards and the wiring we have in front of us.
