Hans Raj Mahajan Sons is our family-run business located at 684 Guru Gobind Singh Avenue, right along the bypass in Jalandhar, Punjab. This location is very handy for us because it’s easy for the trucks to come and go without having to deal with the narrow streets in the center of town. We’ve been here for many years, and this place is basically our second home. Most of our day is spent in the warehouse or at the desk, checking on orders and talking to our suppliers. We are just regular people doing a regular job, and we don’t go in for anything too polished or corporate. My sons help me run things, and we have a small group of workers who are more like family now. Sometimes we talk about the expected costs for the work we do, which usually falls between 12,000 and 15,000 rupees depending on what’s needed, but we just take it day by day. The bypass area is always moving and loud, but we like the energy of it. It’s honest work that our father started, and we’re just trying to keep it going the right way. We don’t have a big marketing department, just our name on the building and a reputation we’ve built over a long time. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know best here in Jalandhar.
