Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital

We are located in the Shahdara area, right in Sahadara. This hospital is a big part of the local life here. If you live around Shahdara, you've probably walked past our gates. It’s a busy place with a lot of people moving around. We have several floors and many different rooms. It can be a bit overwhelming if it’s your first time here. We just try to keep things moving. The nurses and the helpers are always on their feet. There’s no time for sitting around much. The building itself has been here for years. It shows its age in some places, but it’s sturdy. We don't spend money on fancy lobby furniture. We’d rather have the equipment working right. The street outside is usually full of rickshaws and cars. It gets noisy. But inside, we try to keep it as quiet as a hospital can be. Patients come with all sorts of problems. We do what we can. It’s a tough job sometimes. We don’t make any big promises, we just work. Shahdara is our home, and this is where we work. That’s about all there is to it. We keep the lights on and the doors open for whoever needs us. The night shift is a bit quieter but there is always something to do. We just stay focused on the patients in the beds and the tasks for the day. It’s a simple existence but it keeps the neighborhood healthy.
