If you ever come down to Frash Khanna, you’ll find us on the first floor of Krishna Mansion. The address is 1273/2, which can be a bit tricky to find if you aren't familiar with the narrow lanes around here. It’s an old building, the kind with a lot of character and stairs that have seen better days. We’ve set up our trade business right in the middle of all the noise and hustle of the market. It’s loud outside, with people shouting and carts moving by, but inside the office, we just focus on the orders. We deal with importing and exporting different types of goods, so there’s always a lot of checking and re-checking of samples. The desks are usually covered in ledger books and samples that need to be sent out. We don’t have a big staff, just a few people who have been working together for years. We know the couriers by name because they come by so often. There isn’t much in the way of air conditioning, just a few sturdy ceiling fans that keep the air moving while we work through the afternoon heat. It’s a very traditional way of doing business, rooted in the local market culture. We don’t use any complicated software if we can help it; pen and paper still work fine for most things we do. Being on the first floor gives us a bit of a view of the street, which is always interesting.
