Our spot is in Okhla Phase 2, right in the DSIDC Scheme-1 area. If you’ve ever been to Okhla, you know it’s a maze of industrial buildings and small workshops. We are at unit 105. It’s a bit dusty outside because of all the construction and the trucks constantly rolling through the narrow lanes. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves and a few desks where we handle the import and export side of things. We’ve been in this location for quite some time now. The noise from the neighboring units is constant, usually machines humming or people shouting over the sound of loading. It can get pretty hot in the summer, especially when we’re moving stock around. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture, just the basics to get the job done. Most of our time is spent checking manifests and calling up transport guys to see why a truck is late. The local tea stall is just around the corner, and that’s where most of our breaks happen. It’s a busy environment and things can get a little messy when a big shipment arrives all at once. We just clear some floor space and start sorting through it. It’s practical work. We don't really have time for much else. The day starts early and usually ends when the last gate in the complex shuts down.
