Digicocktail Solutions Private Limited is located over in Vikaspuri, at K-324 in Kangra Niketan. It’s a residential-style area, so it doesn't feel like a cold office park. The building is one of those typical Delhi structures where everything is a bit close together. We’re on one of the floors there, and it’s usually pretty busy inside. We’ve got our computers set up on long tables, and there are wires running along the floor that we have to be careful not to trip over. The lighting isn't the best, but we’ve added a few desk lamps to brighten things up. In the mornings, you can hear the sounds of the neighborhood waking up while we start our computers. We usually have a packet of biscuits open on the communal table for whoever gets hungry. It’s a very casual environment. People come in wearing jeans and t-shirts, and there’s no formal hierarchy that you’d find in a big company. We just focus on the tasks at hand. Sometimes the power goes out for a few minutes and we all just sit and wait for the generator to kick in. It’s part of the charm of working in West Delhi, I suppose. It’s not a perfect space, but it’s ours and we know where everything is. We just keep our heads down and do the work without worrying about how things look to outsiders.
