Devika Fire Safety Udyog is located in Sangam Vihar, specifically at No.661 in the Deoli area. If you've been to this part of Delhi, you know how narrow the streets are and how many people live here. We started this small business because we saw a need for proper fire safety in these crowded neighborhoods. It’s not an easy place to run a business because of the congestion, but we make it work somehow. Our shop is simple. We have shelves filled with extinguishers and sand buckets. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy office setup. Most of our work comes from word of mouth among the local neighbors. We spend a lot of time walking to different sites because driving a big truck through these lanes is impossible most of the time. It’s a very hands-on job. We have to be honest with people about what they actually need for their small shops or homes. Sometimes we have to explain things twice because fire safety isn't always the first thing on people's minds until something happens. We just keep doing our bit. The heat in the summer is intense in these narrow streets, but we stay open. It’s a family-run kind of feel, even if we aren't all related by blood. We just want to make sure the equipment we sell actually works if someone ever needs it. It’s a busy, gritty life here, but it's what we know best.
