Deepa Manoharan

My name is Deepa Manoharan and I operate out of Delhi. I don't have a big fancy office in a glass building; I just work from a small space that I’ve set up for myself. Delhi is a huge place, but I’ve managed to find a corner that works for me. It’s mostly just me here, though sometimes I have a bit of help when things get really backed up. My desk is usually covered in papers and sticky notes because I like to keep track of everything manually. I’ve always preferred it that way instead of relying only on computers. The neighborhood I’m in is quite noisy, with traffic and people going about their business, but I’ve learned to tune it out. I start my day early before the city really wakes up and usually finish when the sun goes down. It’s a lot of hours, but I don't mind it because it’s my own thing. I don't have any big marketing slogans or a team of people trying to sell you something. It’s just me doing my job and trying to be as helpful as I can. Sometimes I forget to take a break and end up working through lunch, which is a bad habit I’m trying to break. It’s not a perfect setup, but it’s mine and it’s honest. I just take things one day at a time and see what needs doing. I keep a small radio on for company.
