About Commerce Study Point – Education in New Delhi
Being in Munirka at 118 feels like being in the center of a maze sometimes. The lanes are narrow and there are always people moving about, heading to the market or the bus stand. Our spot is up a flight of stairs that are a bit narrow, so you have to be careful if two people are trying to pass at the same time. The room itself isn't huge, but we’ve managed to fit in enough benches for everyone. I usually spend my mornings getting the notes ready and making sure the water cooler is filled up. In Munirka, you get used to the sounds of the city—the distant rumble of the metro and the shouting of the street vendors. The tea lady comes around twice a day and her chai is always way too sweet but we drink it anyway. It’s a very student-heavy area, so there’s always a bit of a buzz in the air. We have a small desk by the door where we keep the attendance log. It’s an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us. The windows don’t offer much of a view, just the brick wall of the building next door, but they let in enough light so we don't have to keep the overheads on all day. It’s a simple, honest place to work. We don't have fancy air conditioning, just a couple of wall fans that hum quite loudly. It’s just the way things are at 118.
