Gyans

Our shop is tucked away in East Patel Nagar at 28/10. It’s a regular storefront where we keep a lot of different clothes and fabrics stacked up. Every morning starts with pulling up the shutter and sweeping the front step. The inside is filled with racks that sometimes get a bit crowded when we get a new shipment in. We spend a good chunk of the day folding things back up after people have looked through them. It’s not a very big place, so you have to watch your step between the piles of stock. The lighting is okay, but it can feel a bit cramped when there are more than four or five people browsing at once. We don’t really have a big staff, so we do a bit of everything, from handling the cash to helping find a specific size in the back room. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so we see a lot of the same faces coming by. Sometimes the afternoon gets really slow, and we just sit near the door watching the traffic go by on the street. It’s a lot of manual work, keeping track of what’s sold and making sure the displays don't look too messy. We don’t have any fancy music playing or anything like that. It’s just a place to buy what you need and get on with your day. We try to keep things organized as best we can.
