CMI Limited

Our office is sitting in the New Delhi House at Barakhamba Road, right in those rooms 501 to 503. It is a busy part of the city and we have been here for quite some time now. CMI Limited isn’t a huge operation with fancy lobbies; it’s mostly just us at our desks getting through the daily pile of work. The traffic on Barakhamba Road is almost always a mess, but being right in the center of things makes it easy for people to find us. We handle all the typical business stuff from the fifth floor. Most of our team has been together for years, so we have our own way of doing things. We don't really bother with big corporate mission statements or any of that. It is more about making sure the files are in order and the phones are answered on time. The building is one of the older ones, but it has a bit of character and stays cool enough when the sun is out. We usually have the kettle going for tea around mid-afternoon, which is a nice break from the computer screens. We just try to stay focused on what needs to be done and keep things simple. It gets noisy outside with the horns and city sounds, but you get used to it after a few months. The day usually ends when the sun starts going down over the buildings. It is a practical place to work.
