Getting to our office at No. 379 in New Lajpat Rai Market is always an adventure. If you know Chandni Chowk, you know how the crowds are. We are on the first floor, so once you get off the street, things get a little bit quieter, but only just. The market is always humming with people buying and selling. Hissaria Bandhu Overseas Pvt. Ltd. has been here for years, and the space is packed with everything we need for the overseas business. It’s not a big office, so every inch of the floor is usually covered with something. We spend our mornings checking orders and talking to the vendors in the market below. The 1st-floor windows look out over the street, and it’s always interesting to see the chaos down there while we’re doing our paperwork. The walls have a few cracks, and the paint is peeling in the corners, but it doesn't bother us much. We aren't here to impress anyone with the decor. We’re just here to get the work done and make sure the shipments go out on time. The electricity can be a bit temperamental in this part of town, so we always have a backup ready just in case. It’s a very busy life here in Chandni Chowk, and we wouldn't really know how to function in a quiet office park. This place has a rhythm that we've all become a part of.
