Things are always moving around here at Plot No. 66/18. We are tucked away in Janki Vihar Street in Prem Nagar II. It’s a residential area mostly, so we try not to make too much noise when the trucks are loading up. We spend most of our mornings checking items and getting everything packed into boxes for shipping. It’s a lot of tape, cardboard, and making sure the labels are on right. The street is a bit narrow, so when the delivery vans come, everything else has to wait a minute. We’ve got a small team, just people from around the neighborhood mostly. We sit in the back office which is really just a desk and a couple of chairs pushed against the wall. The tea guy comes around at eleven and that’s when we usually take a break. It gets dusty inside with all the packaging material, but we sweep up every evening before locking the gate. People ask how we manage all the exporting from this little spot, but we’ve got a system that works for us. We don’t do much advertising. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they live nearby. It’s simple work, keeping track of what goes where and making sure nothing gets broken along the way. Prem Nagar is a busy place, and we’re just glad to be a part of it, working through the daily pile of paperwork and boxes.
