Beena Art Creation

Our place, Beena Art Creation, is at Shop No.2186 in Gali Nalwali. It’s right in the Pahari Bhojla area, near Turkman Gate. If you know the old city, you know how narrow the lanes can get around here. We spend our days working on different art pieces. It’s mostly just sitting at the bench and figuring things out. We have been in this shop for a long time. The walls are a bit old and the lighting isn't always perfect, but it’s home to us. Turkman Gate is a busy spot, always people moving around and things happening. We like the energy of Gali Nalwali. Sometimes it’s hard to get supplies in because the street is so thin, but we manage. We don’t really have a big staff, just a few of us who know what we are doing. We don’t try to be anything we aren't. We just make art and hope it looks right when it’s done. Every day is pretty much the same, we show up, drink some tea, and start working. It’s a lot of manual work and sometimes our hands get tired. But being in Pahari Bhojla feels right. It is a traditional area and we fit in well. We don't really do much on the internet or fancy stuff, we just stay here at the shop and do the work. It is quiet in the mornings before the rest of the market wakes up, and that is usually our favorite time to get things started. We have a lot of scraps lying around usually.
